On Wednesday, 21st December, the Town Mayor and Mayoress of Tenterden were kindly invited to attend the Tenterden Memory Café’s Christmas Lunch at Little Silver Hotel in St Michaels. They both felt very heartened to be invited and celebrate the festivities with the Organisers, members and carers of the Memory Café & Musical Memories.
During the lunch, the Town Mayor presented Janet Bridger of the Tenterden Memory Café with a cheque for £6,661.49 which was raised through the Mayor’s fundraising activities since May this year. The cheque was gratefully received, and the funds would be put to good use with special days out for members of the Café and Musical Memories over the coming year/s.
Special thanks are extended to Little Silver Hotel for not only generously hosting for free the Mayor’s Charity Auction in October, but also for looking after the charity so well.
