On Friday, 20th May, Tenterden Town Council took the first step in developing its response to Climate Change by holding a meeting with contributions from invited experts and some councillors and officers from Ashford Borough Council, amongst others.
The Climate Change Subcommittee will steer the process in its early stages and is looking forward to partnership working with a broad range of stakeholders including Parish, Borough and County Councils to facilitate progress on the bigger and wider issues.
Tenterden Town Council aims to lead by example; reducing its own carbon footprint; adopting measures promoting and increasing sustainability; providing information to assist businesses, third sector organisations and residents make greener choices for themselves.
