2nd February Update:

In September 2021, Ashford Borough Council rejected a housing application for 145 dwellings to be built on Limes Land and Homewood School football pitch on Appledore Road.

The developer Wates have lodged an Appeal with the Planning Inspector and is being dealt with by way of a public inquiry starting at 10:00 am on the 8th February 2022. Both Ashford Borough Council and Tenterden Town Council have submitted reasons for the rejection, along with various resident groups in the parish.

Due to Covid restrictions, the inquiry will not be a physical meeting, but held virtually. This will allow members of the public to follow the discussions on their tablet or computer from the comfort of your home.
