Proposals for a development of flats for active retirees at London Beach Golf Club were rejected for a second time at the meeting of Tenterden Town Council’s planning committee on 5th October 2020.
The original scheme for 60 flats was rejected by the committee last October, but revised and re-submitted as a development of 12 two-bed flats.
The committee rejected it again. Reasons included that it was not in the Local Plan; creates an unsustainable community; that the design is unacceptable and not in keeping with the surrounding properties; and it does not meet the council’s ecology and carbon impact policies.
