Ashford Borough Council has announced the end of its legal challenge to the Planning Inspectorate's decision to allow the Limes Land development by Wates.
A news article on their website, confirms that the judge in the case did not consider that the borough council's arguments were sufficient grounds for the appeal to proceed.
Tenterden Town Council vigorously opposed the planning application, noting that the development was neither wanted or needed and would place unacceptable pressure on the town.
