We are receiving messages asking what is happening to the 2 and 2a buses from Tenterden to Ashford as there is a rumour that these are being cancelled in early March. At our Town Council meeting last night (10th February) Cllr. Mike Hill (KCC) stated that "KCC are going to support Stagecoach through bus subsidies and they were in the process of renegotiating the contract. It is unclear if this will be sustainable, but KCC are doing everything they can to keep the buses going for now."
